second generation
The first generation of auxiliary sails helped validate the concept but has several drawbacks including lack of modularity. A second generation is being validated. It has the following characteristics.
- each sail is autonomous and has its own hydraulic system and its control system.
- new sensors have been added, including instrumented jacks for border / shock.
- the multi-function joystick of the first generation is replaced by a joystick by sail.
- a new graphical interface, more educational, allows anyone to control the sails without a thorough knowledge of sailing.
This system is being validated on the Grand Largue.
